Archery Seasons Greetings
Seasons Greetings to all at Dunbrody Archers archery club, our families, all our archery friends and supporters, the IFAF Executive committee and fellow IFAF clubs, our sponsors throughout 2011, and to the local clubs Na laoch Dall, Warbow, and Aos Dana,
Wishing you all a happy Christmas and peaceful (and entertaining) New Year.
Hope Santa came to all our young (and not so young) members.
So start dusting the equipment and attaching any newly bought accessories for a very full 2012 event calendar.
Andrew (club p.r.o)
Welcome to Dunbrody Archers
Dunbrody Archers was established in 2004 and is based in the New Ross area of Co Wexford.
It is the largest club in the country with over 90 active members. We are affiliated to the Irish Field Archery Federation (IFAF) which is, in turn, affiliated to the International Field Archery Association (IFAA)
Dunbrody Archers’ was founded to promote the art of field archery. Field archery is generally conducted in wooded areas. Targets positioned at varying distances can be picture animal faces or 3D. We have our own woods and an indoor arena, which are used for both training and competition purposes.
The Clubs’ demographic is diverse both in terms of age and social background. The same can be said about the type of archery styles preferred by our members. These range from Traditional (mainly wooden frames) to Compound and Recurve bows which are made from composite materials.
