Our club is experiencing a very busy time at present with lots going on both  indoors and outdoors…

Firstly… the club will be hosting a table quiz in Corcorans pub Irishtown New Ross on fri night April 12th at 8pm and we hope to see lots of people there. The aim of this  event is to raise funds for further club development.

Tables of 4 = €20     All welcome (not just archers). Bring along neighbours, friends, family, or those you wish to show off your vast array of knowledge to.

There shall be lots of spot prizes as well as  raffle prizes.

It promises to be a fun and enjoyable night out.

Well done to all our members who completed the 2013 International Mailmatch, and good luck when the final standings are released soon. In this competition our participating archers were up against other archers from Ireland as well as from countries such as Brazil, USA, Estonia, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and many more.

This type of competition is run over three pre selected nights indoors, with archers  shooting 12 rounds of 5 arrows totalling 60 arrows per night at special round target faces, with an adjudicator on sight to administer proceedings.  A big thanks to our Helen for organising this years event.

Our new club colour is now orange and new clothing styles are being sourced at present. Recently our new crest went on release. Thanks to Ian once again for designing this new logo.

We have several new archers in the club, and we welcome these new members and hope they enjoy their first year of shooting arrows.  Some others will soon be invited out to our woods for their  assessment/ signing off session.

As for our club based archery  “buy and sell”  service please contact our hard working secretary Clodagh if you are wishing to buy a 2nd hand bow or wishing to sell on your equipment due to upgrading etc.

Well done to our achers who attended the recent shoot at IAC. And congrats to Eric and co for putting on a wonderful event.

Our club newsletter is now being e-mailed regularly to our  members. If any members are not recieving them please let Clodagh or Andrew know.  issue 336 will be released soon.

As always Andrew would appreciate contributions for the newsletter…

For those who signed up to the web based newsletter subscription service unfortunately it is not yet set up. We hope to ammend this soon.

It is also hoped to upgrade our photo albums on this website considerably in the very near future as admittedly this aspect of our website has been a bit neglected.

A big thanks to Alex’ dad who recently produced a lovely unique carved wooden 3d sign for over our club notice board.  It looks really great. cheers.

The club recently purchased a batch of new 3D targets. some are unusual and will look really great out in the woods. Our club Chairman Martin is making plans to hold a club event soon where our new purchases will be put out in the firing line.

Andrew as IFAF PR Officer is now publishing weekly features for the national IFAF website. This week Waterford club Blue Arrows will be the club featured. Last week featured a fun movie word search quiz and the week before Loughcrew Archers was the club focused upon. A permanent new PR slot will be added to the IFAF website menu  where these pieces can be read anytime.  Dunbrody itself will in turn be featured in the near future.
